Health care workers and caregivers should receive the flu vaccine every season. Getting the flu vaccine protects your patients, especially those who are most vulnerable to serious flu illness. You can get your flu vaccine from your doctor, employer, local health department or pharmacy (no prescription is needed for anyone 12 years and older, age may vary by pharmacy). Everyone 6 months of age and older should get the flu vaccine every flu season.
