The flu shot is the best protection for you—and your baby. Getting the flu during pregnancy can cause serious problems for
you and your baby. The flu shot is safe for you and your child anytime during pregnancy. Pregnant women are recommended to get the Tdap vaccine to protect their baby from whooping cough (pertussis). Whooping cough is a serious disease that can cause babies to stop breathing. Tdap vaccine given during your 3rd trimester (between 27 and 36 weeks) will give your baby the best protection. The Tdap vaccine is safe for you and your baby.
