This executive order by Governor Robert E. McNair proclaims that a state of emergency exists in the City of Orangeburg; and in order to minimize the dangers to life, limb and property authorizes, orders and directs: That any and all law enforcement officers of the State and its subdivisions, and the officials of the City of Orangeburg and all other persons in authority do whatever may be deemed necessary to maintain peace and good order and order and direct that until further order by me that students in attendance at the South Carolina State College and Claflin College be and they are hereby required to remain upon their respective campuses.
