Abstract
This study estimates the economic impact of Coastal Carolina University on the state of South Carolina. Highlights from the economic impact on the state economy in 2012 include: $498 million in total output (sales), $182 million in labor income and 4,132 full and part-time jobs. This study analyzes the impact of visitor spending, student spending, and construction spending as well as direct expenditures from Coastal Carolina University not included in the construction analysis.
