This report by the Legislative Audit Council reviews the South Carolina Board of Pharmaceutical Examiners. Overall, the Council found that the Board has performed its duties in an efficient and effective manner. The Council noted several areas where improvements are needed. They are: There is a need to increase the ability of the Board to investigate complaints ; There is a need to modify penalties which can be levied against pharmacists for violation of the pharmacy practice act ; Public members should be added to the Board.
