Office of the Governor
The Office of the Governor operates pursuant to Article IV, Sections 1-21 of the South Carolina Constitution and SC Code of Laws 1-3-10, et seq. The Executive Control of State is comprised of the Governor, the Governor’s senior advisors, and support staff.
The senior advisors assist the Governor in formulating policy and carrying out his initiative through legislation, executive order, and policy statements. Programmatic responsibilities of the Office of Executive Policy and Programs are coordinated through the Executive Control of State.
