Improve Training Initiatives - Develop and Implement Field Training Guide

Abstract

Much of what we do at SCVRD centers around training- training clients to get competitive employment, as well as training staff to continuously deliver quality services to clients. Field training efforts in the Vocational Assessment Program have not been successful in terms of the time, effort, and the results of the training. The decision was made to take a more directed approach to training staff that would enhance the skills of the subject matter experts and strengthen methodologies typically used. This paper examines that training.
