Lieutenant Governor's Office

Under the Constitution, the Lieutenant Governor serves as President of the Senate and assumes the position of Governor if, for any reason, the Governor is unable to perform the duties of that office. In 2004, through Proviso 57.2, the duties, functions, and responsibilities of the Division on Aging were transferred to the Office of the Lieutenant Governor as the Office on Aging.
