One of the most pressing and complex challenges facing our state government is the reintegration of offenders from prison back into society. Currently, most receive little to no preparation for the transition back to the community and little to no support or assistance after release. In order to address reentry issues, the South Carolina Reentry Interagency Collaborative Team was formed. Their goal was to develop this comprehensive release plan.
