This paper describes the new Office of Innovation. The Office of Innovation is focused on strengthening the innovation and technology-based, job-creating power of the State of South Carolina. The objective of the initiative is to make South Carolina a top state in the nation to start and build a high-growth business. The notice of funding opportunity is for up to $2.5 million in competitive funding for projects that focus on fostering technology-based economic development, entrepreneurship and innovation in any or all communities of South Carolina through university collaboration, local government participation or public-private partnership participation.Collections
