The EOC has established a 2020 Vision for South Carolina: By the year 2020, all students in South Carolina will graduate with the knowledge and skills necessary to compete successfully in the global economy, participate in a democratic society, and contribute positively as members of families and communities. This education report, which includes 2011 figures, reveals that South Carolina has not made significant, consistent progress in most areas. Without dramatic improvement, we will not meet the goals of the 2020 Vision. Pockets of progress exist, but the state as a whole has remained static.Collections
