    Boone Hall Plantation (S.C.)
    Description
This travel article from the South Carolina Department of Parks, Recreation and Tourism highlights Boone Hall Plantation. This is America’s most photographed plantation. Here, 265-year-old oak trees form a canopy, dripping with Spanish moss, over the lane leading to the plantation house. The carefully designed and furnished home (rebuilt in 1936) replicates Boone’s 17th-century style. The nine original slave cabins provide an authentic look at early farm life.
