The South Carolina State Election Commission's mission is to ensure every eligible citizen has the opportunity to register to vote, participate in fair and impartial elections, and have the assurance that their votes will count. The agency is responsible for overseeing the voter registration and election processes in the state, including maintaining the statewide voter registration system, supporting the statewide voting system, and conducting the training and certification program.
