    Description
The fish productivity of any farm pond begins with the base of the food chain, the phytoplankton population. Fertilization of a pond stimulates and expands the plankton population. Liming of soft, acid waters in South Carolina ponds can correct water quality deficiencies and improve the pond’s bass-bream production.
