The purpose of this study was to develop some basic economic information concerning the shrimp baiting fishery. More specifically the study focused on the following objectives: 1. to determine the socio-economic characteristics of licensed recreational shrimpers, 2. to analyze factors affecting recreational shrimping trips, 3. to estimate the economic values of shrimp baiting trips by the direct questioning method.
