Each year the South Carolina Arts Commission awards the Elizabeth O’Neill Verner Governor’s Awards for the Arts to recognize outstanding achievement and contributions to the arts by South Carolina individuals and organizations. Nomination categories are Arts in Education, Organization, Government, Business/Foundation, Individual, and Individual Artist.
