Abstract
The V.C. Summer Nuclear Plant #2 and #3 ceased construction in 2017 and have been inactive since that time. Both plants combined, when finished and equipped with Westinghouse AP1000 reactors, had the capacity to produce a minimum of 2200 MW of electrical power, provide a significant economic boost to the communities in Fairfield County and further South Carolina’s leadership in nuclear power.
