Abstract
The central purpose of the ADEPT system is to promote teacher quality and, ultimately, to increase student achievement. There are ten ADEPT Performance Standards for classroom-based teachers. The ten ADEPT Performance Standards for classroom-based teachers can be grouped into four broad categories, or domains: planning, instruction, classroom environment, professionalism. This paper explains the ten standards required for ADEPT.
