Abstract
With the funds available to the department, the Department of Health and Human Services shall report to the Governor, the Chairman of the Senate Finance Committee, and the Chairman of the House Ways and Means Committee no later than December 31, 2023 on the status of the department's efforts to bring the Individuals With Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) Part C program into compliance with federal requirements. This report must specifically address areas in which the IDEA Part C program has received low performance scores and include any relevant correspondence from the U.S. Department of Education. The report must explain the department's plan for bringing the program into compliance, including specific steps and the associated timeline.
