Ethnobotanical analysis of samples from the beef market, Charleston, South Carolina

Abstract
During the spring of 1984 archaeologists from The Charleston Museum, the University of Georgia at Athens, and the Chicora Foundation excavated at the site of Charleston's eighteenth century Beef Market. The primary purpose of this work was to document the location of Charleston's eighteenth century market and to obtain information on the fauna! species handled by the market.
