Processing of provisional licensure application for the SC Board of Long Term Health Care Facility Administrators

Buttler, Meredith
South Carolina Certified Public Manager Program
Abstract
The Board of Long Term Health Care Facility Administrators requires each long term facility to have an administrator licensed by the Board. Provisional license issuance has continually fallen outside of the ten-day allowance for a facility to operate without a licensed administrator. Determining the factors causing the delay in licensure and to be able to identify solutions, all three license types, Community Residential Care Facility Administrator, Nursing Home Administrator, and Dual Nursing Home and Community Residential Care Facility Administrator needed to be reviewed.
