Abstract
The South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control prepared this document pertaining to groundwater contamination in South Carolina in response to South Carolina State Senate Resolution, Calendar No. S. 1041. The report includes a general discussion of South Carolina's ground water and hydrogeology; citations of significant sources of potential ground-water contamination; documentation of the current status of ground-water contamination; and recommended strategies to protect the state's ground-water quality.
