Abstract
This assessment of the stability and functionality of the Jefferies Generating Station (LGS) legacy coal combustion residual (CCR) surface impoundment is based on a review of available documents and on-site assessment conducted by Santee Cooper engineering staff on April 10, 2026. The supporting technical information was generally adequate. In summary, the JGS CCR management unit was generally found in satisfactory condition. No recognized existing or potential legacy CCR surface impoundment safety deficiencies were identified.
