SC OSHA Safety Citation Issuance Process Improvement

Hall, Tammy
South Carolina Certified Public Manager Program
Abstract
Improving the turnaround time for SC Occupational Safety and Health Administration (SC OSHA) safety reports from the time the inspection is opened until the date citations are issued to employers is of importance because South Carolina Code of State Regulations requires the Compliance Manager or his designee to issue any citations with reasonable promptness after the termination of the inspection. The goal of South Carolina Department of Labor, Licensing, and Regulation is to make South Carolina a safe place to work and live. This project examines how to improve the process.
