Abstract
The key findings of this study are as follows: The total demand for mariculture oysters in South Carolina far exceeds the total supply produced in-state. This study estimates that only one out of every fifive mariculture oysters purchased by consumers in South Carolina is produced in South Carolina. This reveals a significant potential demand for additional local production that is not currently being satisfied.
