This report summarizes a study conducted by the South Carolina Forestry Commission on this Asian market during the second half of 2015, and it is intended to help the U.S. Southern states’ forest products sector (producers, manufacturers, traders and policy-makers) in examining and preparing for the opportunities this market may offer, by providing them with detailed information on India’s economics, wood fiber network, trade flows and international contacts.
