Who can donate? Restaurants, grocery stores and schools can donate. The S.C. Department of Health and Environmental Control encourages donation as long as all food safety requirements are followed. Visit scdhec.gov/food-safety for food storage and safety guidance. What to donate? Non-Perishable Food (e.g., canned food) Perishable Food (e.g., fresh produce, prepared food) can be donated. Please reach out to your local food bank to learn what is accepted. Where to donate? Check with your local food banks, food rescue organizations and other non-profits. Visit feedingthecarolinas.org or feedingamerica.org to find a local food bank or pantry.
