Abstract
States have been asked to submit their procedures for how the state would respond to a disaster for programs funded under title IV-B, subparts 1 and 2. This paper outlines procedures that DSS will take to ensure the safety of children under state care or supervision who are displaced or adversely affected by a disaster; and respond to new child welfare cases in areas adversely affected by a disaster, and provide services in those cases.
