Abstract
Originally developed to provide an introduction to waste reduction, recycling and composting for K-12 students, “Action” has grown into an award-winning, interdisciplinary, activity based resource and evolved since its introduction in 1993. It now includes lessons on air, water, litter prevention, natural resources, energy conservation and sustainability. “Action” is designed to provide teachers the tools and resources to bring the environment into the classroom.
