Abstract
The South Carolina Board of Medical Examiners is excited to begin serving Athletic Trainers on May 24, 2024, when the South Carolina Department of Labor, Licensing and Regulation (LLR) will assume statutory authority to license athletic trainers. For individuals with a current athletic trainer certification from the South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control (DHEC) that expires between May 3, 2024, and May 23, 2024, LLR and DHEC have jointly agreed to extend the expiration dates for those individuals to May 24, 2024.
