Abstract
This report describes the value-added and added-value models used by Education Analytics to measure the effectiveness of South Carolina public schools in grades 4-8 using South Carolina College-and-Career-Ready Assessments (SC READY) test score data. It also describes the value-added model used to measure the effectiveness of South Carolina public high schools using the South Carolina Career Ready (WIN Work Ready) assessment. The report is divided into three sections. The first section describes the data set used to produce the value-added estimates and the model used to estimate value-added for grades 4-8 for schools in South Carolina and presents some properties of the value-added results. The second section describes the added-value model and provides summary results produced from the added-value model. The third section describes the value-added model used to estimate value-added for high schools using the South Carolina Career Ready assessment.
