Abstract
At the request of the Board of Trustees for School District Five of Lexington & Richland Counties, South Carolina Governor Henry McMaster requested the Office of the State Inspector General to initiate and conduct a review or investigation of the District’s procurement-related issues associated with the Piney Woods Elementary School construction project The scope and objectives of this limited review examined contractor billing, actions of the procurement selection committee, the District’s compliance with its procurement code, and contractor-related transactions.
