Student Unique Numbering System (SUNS) Data Access and Management Policy
Abstract
This policy statement pertains to all the data collected and maintained by the South Carolina Department of Education (SCDE) in the Student Unique Numbering System (SUNS). The SUNS database contains data needed to locate the unique identifier of a student who is currently or has previously been enrolled in a South Carolina public school. If a unique identifier does not already exist, the SUNS application will assign one.
