Abstract
South Carolina’s cities and counties are authorized to
prepare and implement a comprehensive plan within
their jurisdiction under the SC Local Government
Comprehensive Planning Enabling Act. The
comprehensive plan provides a framework for the
establishment of policies that support conservation,
professional management, and maintenance of
community trees.
