Abstract
This executive order by Governor Henry McMaster states that because of a declaration of emergency exists in the State of North Carolina due to a major power outage impacting the Outer Banks islands of Hatteras and Ocracoke, threatening the public welfare and causing a need for the uninterrupted supply of electricity, fuel oil, diesel oil, gasoline, kerosene, propane, liquid petroleum gas, food, water, etc., he directs the South Carolina Department of Transportation, the South Carolina Department of Public Safety, and the State Transport Police, as needed, to suspend the federal rules and regulations that restrict certain registration, permitting, length, width, weight, load, and hours of service requirements.
