Abstract
In 2019, South Carolina was named one of seven states identified as having a disproportionate occurrence of HIV in rural areas. As such, the South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control (DHEC) received a grant to End the HIV Epidemic. The goal of the grant is to implement effective and innovative strategies, interventions, approaches, and services to reduce the number of new HIV infections, increase viral suppression among those currently living with HIV, and increase re-engagement efforts of people living with HIV and not in care.
