Abstract
This assessment of the stability and functionality of the Jefferies Generating Station (JGS) coal combustion residual (CCR) management unit is based on a review of available documents and on-site assessment conducted by Santee Cooper engineering staff on April 16, 2025. As detailed in this report, there are some recommendations based on field observations that may help CGS continue to maintain the management unit in safe condition. In summary, the JGS CCR management unit was generally found in satisfactory condition. No recognized existing or potential management unit safety deficiencies were noted at the time of inspection within the parameters of design and operation.
