Abstract
This study explores the history of a tract of land situated in the northeast quadrant of the block in Charleston bounded to the north by Shepard Street, to the east by Coming Street, to the South by Line Street, and the to west by Ashe Avenue. The goal, loosely devised, was to better understand the history of this parcel and particularly to gather information on its supposed use as a Catholic cemetery.
