Abstract
The 2025 Statewide Comprehensive Outdoor Recreation Plan (SCORP) is South Carolina’s official outdoor recreation plan. This five-year plan serves as a guide for various federal, state and local governmental agencies and the private sector entities involved in recreation and natural resources planning and development. The purpose of the plan is to consider outdoor recreation issues relating to the needs of both residents and visitors to South Carolina, provide an inventory of the state’s recreational resources, analyze demand for recreational opportunities, develop an implementation program to address the identified needs and issues, and identify funding opportunities and resources for recreation development.
