Abstract
A resolution called on the South Carolina Department of Natural Resources (DNR) to conduct public hearings and gather public input regarding boating safety concerns and to use any and all information gathered to make recommendations to the Senate to improve recreational boating safety for the citizens of this State. In response, DNR held public meetings in the summer of 2015 at six locations: Manning, Conway, Charleston, Clover, Clemson, and Chapin. This is a report from those meetings.
