Abstract
This document was created as a resource for county and municipal policymakers, their staff, and other applicants in
navigating South Carolina Opioid Settlement Funds from the 2022 National Opioids Settlement and future settlements.
The South Carolina Department of Alcohol and Other Drug Abuse Services, in partnership with the South Carolina
Institute of Medicine and Public Health, convened a group of subject matter experts to develop this guide and add
resources to assist in explaining the most effective abatement strategies.
