Abstract
This regulation contains procedures for issuing, modifying, revoking and reissuing, or terminating all
hazardous waste treatment, storage, and disposal facility permits under these regulations, other than
“emergency permits” (see Section 270.61) and “permits by rule” (Section 270.60). The latter kind of
permits are governed by part 270. Interim status is not a “permit” and is covered by specific provisions in
part 270. The procedures of this part also apply to denial of a permit for the active life of a RCRA hazardous
waste management facility or unit under Section 270.29.
