Abstract
SAMHC started a new "TREATMENT TEAM" concept that consist of multidisciplinary professionals with expertise in managing mental illness and co-occurring disorders, such as substance use. SAMHC's purpose of a treatment team is to guide a patient towards reaching individual goals and recovery. It provides an opportunity to monitor progress and make timely treatment adjustments. It builds resilience of people with mental illness and supporting those in emotional distress.
