School Improvement Council

The South Carolina School Improvement Council was first established in South Carolina law over three decades ago to provide the member training, technical assistance, statutory accountability, and other operational resources vital to the continued success of community-based School Improvement Councils in each of the state’s 1,100-plus K-12 public schools. SC-SIC receives its funding from the SC General Assembly and is the only statewide organization in the nation solely devoted to the assistance of local School Improvement Councils.
