Organized, April 20, 2020, accelerateSC serves as the coordinated COVID-19 advisory team to consider and recommend economic revitalization plans for South Carolina. This site includes the economic revitalization plan consisting of five components of analysis and effort: Response, Protection, Governance, Resources, and Information.

The team was created to consider and recommend economic revitalization plans for South Carolina and consists of five total components. While this report does not address every issue or every recommendation necessary for economic revitalization in South Carolina amidst the COVID-10 pandemic, it does seek to identify those issues in need of immediate attention, along with issues that will need to be addresses in South Carolina's continued prosperity.Publication Guidelines for motorsports facilities(2021-03-03) AccelerateSCThe purpose of these guidelines is to allow the public to again enjoy motorsports events while providing standards that encourage public health and safety.Publication Guidelines for mass gatherings or large community events(2021-03-03) AccelerateSCThis interim guidance is intended for organizers and staff responsible for planning mass gatherings or large community events in South Carolina. A mass gathering is a planned or spontaneous event with a large number of people in attendance that could strain the planning and response resources of the community hosting the event, such as a concert, festival, conference or sporting event.Publication Guidelines for re-opening festivals & special events(2021-03-03) AccelerateSCThe recommendations set forth in the following pages are specific to the reopening of community festivals and special events in South Carolina and are intended for use by event planners, local officials, participating vendors, entertainers and other personnel working with the planning and execution of these events. Attendees of community festivals and other special events should follow the personal health and safety guidelines issued by the CDC and SCDHEC as well as local health authorities and specific guidelines provided by the event they attend. These recommendations are not intended for private gatherings like weddings, conventions, conferences, reunions, or athletic tournaments.Publication Guidelines for public swimming pools(2021-02-25) AccelerateSCAccording to the CDC, the virus that causes COVID-19 cannot be spread to people through the water in pools, hot tubs, spas, or water play areas. However, the opportunity for transmitting the virus does exist in surrounding areas. These guidelines were developed based upon social conditions and other information concerning COVID-19 as of May 29, 2020. The health and safety measures outlined in this plan were formed utilizing CDC and SCDHEC recommendations at this time.
