These reports are the product of the collaboration between the Division of Biostatistics, Office of Public Health Statistics and Information Systems (PHSIS) and the Bureau of Maternal and Child Health, South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control. The Division of Biostatistics is the data source for Sections I, II, and III (vital statistics) and the Bureau of Maternal and Child Health provides Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) and Women and Children’s Services (WCS) information (Section IV). Population estimates with bridged race categories for the intercensal years were prepared by the National Center for Health Statistics.
