Effective March 11, 2024, all applicants applying for a massage therapy license with the SC Board of Massage Therapy will be subject to a state and national fingerprint criminal background check.
Reinstatement of massage therapy license application
(2023-12-11) South Carolina Board of Massage Therapy
To reinstate your lapsed massage therapy license, proof of twelve (12) continuing education hours needs to be submitted. A license that has lapsed for more than one year shall be automatically cancelled if an application for reinstatement has not been submitted. A new license will need to be applied for in accordance with current statute and regulations which includes passing the MBLEX for re-entry into the profession. Effective January 1, 2024, all applicants applying for a license with the SC Board of Massage Therapy will be subject to a state and national fingerprint criminal background check.
