These are some of the reasons we got involved in politics. We certainly didn't sign up because we wanted to become cyber experts and we're guessing you didn't either. We come from different political parties and don't agree on much when it comes to public policy, but one thing uniting us is the belief that American voters should decide our elections and no one else. Our increasingly digital way of living and working offers new ways for adversaries to influence our campaigns and elections. While you don't need to be a cyber expert to run a successful campaign, you do have a responsibility to protect your candidate and organization from adversaries in the digital space. That's why Defending Digital Democracy, a project of Harvard Kennedy School's Belfer Center for Science and International Affairs, created this Cybersecurity Campaign Playbook. The information assembled here is for any campaign in any party. It was designed to give you simple, actionable information that will make your campaign's information more secure from adversaries trying to attack your organization--and our democracy. Most of all, we hope this resource allows you to spend more time on what you signed up for--campaigning. Good luck.Publication So ... It should be noted that there were reports from counties on election day that signage had been removed by the public, which may be the reason signage was not present at the polling places we visited in these two counties. Teams of auditors visited select previous polling places in each of the 29 counties on election day to determine if a change of polling place sign was present, contained the new polling place and the telephone number of the county office, and was readable from 20 feet. While most counties had signage, the biggest issue with many signs was that the county office telephone number was not listed. Providing signage at a previous polling place of a polling place change ensures such changes are adequately communicated to voters, and they have access to the polls.Publication Absentee Voter Go-To Guide 2024 : Presidential Primaries February 3 & February 24(South Carolina State Library, 2024)This guide contains information for South Carolina Absentee Voters for the 2024 Presidential primary elections.Publication Absentee Voting History (1998-2024)(South Carolina State Library, 2024-03-26) South Carolina State Election CommissionThis document from the South Carolina State Election Commission gives statistics on absentee voter and early voter participation for elections held between 1998 and 2024.
