Abstract
The primary objective of this project was to evaluate specific areas of the Classified Employee classification and compensation system. This report and its appendices provide a detailed analysis of the 10 components, recommendations and a game plan for action to be taken to enhance the classified employee classification and compensation plan. The analysis shows that the current plan is experiencing some “signs of age,” having been in place for 20 years. Redesign is required and recommended. Fourteen recommendations are set out in this report and are followed by a game plan for making the recommendations happen. Appendices are included.
